Members: Methods of Consumption : Eating

Eating marijuana, if done properly, is safe and effective. The main difference between eating and smoking is in reaction time. While smoking cannabis provides immediate relief, ingesting can take 45-90 minutes for effect, depending upon body chemistry and whether consumed on an empty or full stomach.

Because of these factors, the ingesting method requires more experimentation as far as dosage. When you do feel the effects, they may be stronger than those felt by smoking. We suggest trying the equivalent to one-fourth of a normal sized brownie. Give yourself time to assess the effects. This is best done at home and in a relaxed manner.
